The race to vaccinate

This print graphic story was part of the November 2020 special issue of National Geographic magazine dedicated to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was honored with an Award of Excellence by the Society for News Design.

We presented one possible scenario for the timeline of COVID-19 vaccine development and distribution. The challenges of producing and distributing the vaccine at a global scale were correctly identified as the most significant bottlenecks, although development ultimately progressed faster than predicted.
