Bison interactive game

These illustrations and animations were created for the “Becoming Texas” exhibit of the Bullock Texas State History Museum.

The interactive game takes visitors on a learning experience about the use of bison by Native Americans. Did you know they carried water on the bison’s bladder as if on a canteen and the scapula bone was adapted into a hoe to dig the crop fields? The player has to guess the source material for several objects, from a spoon to a tipi, to a parfleche; the answer can be an organ, muscle, bone or a part of the external anatomy. With the correct answer comes a short animation explaining the method of creating the object or using it.
