This is a trio of predators in an oak wood forest. The Wood Mouse (Apodemus sylvaticus) is under the watch of the Barn Owl (Tyto alba) which in turn needs to watch out for the Marten (Martes foina).

Illustrations created to feature at the exhibition ‘Hats’ on display during the 4th National Meeting of Illustration (São João da Madeira, Portugal). The subject of the exhibition was the inspiration to portray animals whose fur or feathers are borrowed for hat fabrication and decoration.
