Inktober

Every October, artists all over the world take on the Inktober challenge drawing one ink piece each day of the month. The goal is to improve technique and bravely share successes and failures on social media. I embraced it for the first time in 2017 making the U.S. Botanic Garden my daily destination. I finished with 31 plant drawings inspired by the Inktober official list of prompt words. This is a sample from the full set of drawings that was later acquired by the Botanic Garden to be used in their education and outreach materials. It was also a pleasure to give a well-attended lecture at the Garden about the project.
